Fillings

Composite resins, or tooth coloured fillings, provide good durability and resistance to fracture in small – to mid-size fillings in that need to withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing. They can be used on either front or back teeth. They are a good choice for people who prefer that their fillings look more natural.

Crowns

Bridges

If you want to improve your smile, you may need a crown to cover a tooth to help restore it to its normal shape and size. A crown can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance. A crown can help strengthen a tooth with a large filling when there isn’t enough tooth remaining to hold the filling. Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, protect a weak tooth from breaking, especially rooted teeth or restore one that’s already broken. A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discoloured or badly shaped. It’s also used to cover a dental implant.

Implants

If you are self-conscious because you have missing teeth, wear dentures that are uncomfortable or don’t want to have good tooth structure removed to make a bridge, talk to us to see if dental implants are an option for you. Dental implants are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth and are designed to blend in with your other teeth. They are an excellent long-term option for restoring your smile. In fact, the development and use of implants is one of the biggest advances in dentistry in the past 40 years. Dental implants are made up of titanium and other materials that are compatible with the human body. They are posts that are surgically placed in the upper or lower jaw, where they function as a sturdy anchor for replacement teeth, dentures or bridges.

Dentures

Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore your smile. If you’ve lost all your natural teeth, whether from gum disease, tooth decay or injury, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health. That’s because dentures make it easier to eat and speak better than you could without teeth – things that people often take for granted.

When you lose all your teeth, facial muscles can sag, making you look older. They can be made to closely resemble your natural teeth so that your appearance does not change much. Dentures may even improve the look of your smile.

All dentures that we provide use the highest quality materials and are customised specifically for you. All of your denture work is carried out locally here in NZ.

We also refer patients to one of our local and experienced technicians in town.

Tooth Whitening

Everybody loves a bright white smile, and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help you improve the look of yours. Many people are satisfied with the sparkle they get from daily oral hygiene and regular cleanings at your dentist’s office, but if you decide you would like to go beyond this to make your smile brighter, you should investigate all your whitening options.

If you are a candidate for it whitening at home is a great way to go

At-home whitening: Peroxide-containing whiteners bleach the tooth enamel. They typically come in a gel and are placed in a mouth guard. Typically they are worn for 30 to 45 mins per day or overnight. They can be used as a overnight whitening treatment.

Fast Braces

Fast braces treatments can get results quickly for selected patients. Your teeth must be fully developed, and the majority of growth must have stopped to prevent inadequate results.

Unfortunately not all bite problems can be corrected with fast braces. If you don’t have bite issues and quick treatment is important to you, it’s certainly worth discussing short-term braces and their suitability with us.

Despite taking a fraction of the time, faster, shorter term braces treatment can (in well selected cases), provide amazing smile improvements. They can be quite cost effective and save you a trip to the orthodontist.
